Led Zeppelin Reunion Without Robert Plant?
The most disturbing news of the day comes from the son of John Bonham (original drummer for Led Zeppelin). Jason Bonham
recently spoke with Music Radar and claimed that they were real close to reforming Led Zeppelin, without Robert Plant. He
claims that he, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones worked on material for the better part of a year, before deciding to abandon
the idea completely.
"After a while, it was just time to move
on. We did a year of writing and putting stuff together. I loved working with Jimmy and John Paul."
Although no singer was ever named, Alter Bridge vocalist Myles Kennedy jammed with the trio in 2008. Kennedy spoke
with The Pulse of Radio about his experience, "It was so surreal, it was just
unbelievable," he said. "I spent the day there in a studio with those guys. playing songs, and next thing you know, I
believe in September that year we got together again and spent what I like to consider probably the greatest week of my
life playing with those guys. And any time I'm having a bad day, I think about those days and suddenly everything feels a
lot better 'cause I got to experience that."
We should all thank the gods above for not letting this happen.
